IM in the market for a WW towel im jut not sue if i should get the Sonüs Der Wunder Drying Towel which is 2/27.99 or should i get the pakshak which i don know how much it is. how do they compare is there really a difference?

I've got both and the PakShak is softer and a bit bigger, but I still reach for the SONUS towel first.

Reasons I like the SONUS Drying Towel:

- 70/30 blend

- the smaller size is easier to handle for me

- nice satin hemmed edge

- you get two of 'em.

It may be just my imagination but I think the SONUS towel wicks up the water a bit faster than my original Big Blue's. There are definite physical differences between the two, but as far as performance goes it really is a close call. I can honestly say that you won't be disappointed with either one, it is just a matter of if you want the latest, newest thing with a different blend of fibers and dimensions, plus a nifty satin hemmed edge....which is less likely to induce marring. :xyxthumbs

email Ranney (PakShak) and tell him you are an Autopia member and he'll quote you a discounted price. I can't remember how much I got mine for. His website is www.pakshak.com.

Don't know about Excel but I've heard only good things about them.

I use 1 of Ranney's (Pakshak) WW towel to dry my midsized car and there are still patches that are still dry when I'm done.

Ranney's WWs are extremely "thirsty" and he's got great prices :xyxthumbs

check ultimatemicrofiber on ebay. The guy has HUGE WW towels for $20

Bigger isnt always better................You really need to find a towel thats comfortable, and not cumbersome to handle......Dont overbuy, or overspend...!

What abou these people http://www.exceldetail.com/excelpage4.html

has anyone heard of them are they good quality. they seem kinds of cheap so i dont know if there are no good im going to go with the sonus ww beacuse they are good quality and a good deal. also does any one know how much the pakshak ww towels are?

Exceldetail's towels (Patrick) are very good. I have been using them for over a half year now, and never had any marring problem. They also don't lint. The waffle weaves suck up water very well, and have microfiber edges to prevent marring. They've also held up very well, seeing as I use them several times a week, and launder after each use. They're still as soft, and work just as well, as when they were new.

Another good thing about the blue waffle weave is they aren't so big they drag the ground or become cumbersome. But they are big enough to easily dry my entire car ('97 Maxima). The gold (smaller) is perfect for touch ups, or getting those pesky drips from mirrors, door handles, body seams, etc....

Service from Patrick is top-notch. I ordered on a Saturday morning (online), and had my shipment Monday afternoon. And the shipping charge was the actual cost of shipping.

The 16x16's from Exceldetail are top notch, too. I use them for everything from glass, QD'ing, and product removal. No lint, no marring, and they perform with various products very well. Hands down better than any MF I've purchased from stores.

I can't speak for some of the other online vendor's products, which I've heard are very good. I doubt you'd go wrong with any of the vendor's products that are mentioned a lot on this board. But Patrick's are very high quality at a very reasonable price (don't let the inexpensive price mislead you to thinking they are cheap products). And service is simply outstanding.

I've bought from the guy behind ultramicrofiber -- Tom Gong, AKA JT International. I bought them by emailing him at jtintern at hotmail.com; told him I was from Autopia, but I don't know if that makes any difference in his prices.

The WW I have from him is blue, so I'm not sure it's the exact same as the one in that picture. But I love it.
