WRX Debadging & Detail - Pics

Worked on an instructor's WRX this afternoon. He wanted to get rid of the "SUBARU" letters from the trunk and get a quick wash and wax.

The letters took about an hour to remove with some dental floss, a bit of WD40 and a bottle of 3M Wax an Adhesive Remover. Not to mention a hair-dryer. Here you can see the residue left from the letters after they had been peeled back.

And after all of the adhesive had been removed:

Then it was a quick wash and a layer of Souveran to finish her off.

nice, but damn it took u an hour to get that off? what i did on mine was i left it in the sun for like an hour to get the glue soft, after i did the floss trick then applied some goo gone and wiped all the residue off only took 20 minutes

Yeah, I know all those tricks, but sometimes they can be a bit more fussy than usual. I had plenty of time and wasn't getting paid by the hour, so I wasn't too interested in trying to break any records. ;)
