wrap side sirrors during wash?

Is it ok to hit side mirrors with flowing water during a wash? Will water going behind the mirror harm anything back there?



Any advice as to how to prevent water from getting in there (if it's bad)?
 
your mirrors are in the open when it rains arent they? Flowing water shouldnt be any problem other than its a pain in the butt to get all the water back out before waxing or polishing. I havent had any problems over the years.
 
You're right...but rain doesn't compare to the water flowing out of a hose... I have an electric leaf blower to take care of the remaining water. :D
