Worth Buying?

I need something inexpensive for cleaning carpets. After reading many reviews on the Little Green Cleaning Machine and the Hoover Steam Vac Jr, both of these had mixed reviews. Then I found this: Dirt Devil Product Detail

Very basic, but something like this might be a good start.

Any opinions appreciated. Thanks

In my opinion a shop vac and good technique will work better. If you run into filthy carpet you can forget it with those $100 machines
