Worst Cars of all time

That's an interesting list of cars. It's no surprise that the Yugo smokes the competition for being the worst car.

If the Citroen SM was such a bad car, why is it so sought after now? And it was far from the first hydraulic suspension that Citroen offered, in fact they were introducing it into the production lines in the late 50's.

Hey! I loved my Pinto, besides the gas tank thing gave me a glimmer of home after my wife got the car in the divorce settlement!

Hmmmmmm - who TF wrote this???

Citroen SM was/still is exceptionally advanced - hydraulic suspension (Dave will know way more than me on this) and a Maserati 2700cc engine

Fiat Strada - pioneered new production technology and wasn't a bad car at all for 1977. Plus yyou got the 105TC/Abarth 130TC

Pontiac Fiero - well I liked it (despite it now being used as a basis for a F355 replica - sacrilege!!)

They really made some interesting tranny's back in those days. Today they still use an auto that has internals more similar to a manual than everyone else's auto's.

I am surprised none of you guys picked up on the Trabant. That has to be the lowest point of automotive crap. Tiny 2 stroke motor and some panels made out of cardboard.

Of course there have been some Australian Automotive gems over the years, like the Zeta in the '50s which had no reverse gear. You had to stop it's 2 stroke motor and restart it backwards to reverse the piece of crap.

Ah man, the Bronco II is on that list? I used to have one, and it wasn't that great, but it wasn't that bad either. An '85 with the pre-fuel injection 2.8L. I can't complain, it made it to 268K miles, and I sold it for $900!

:chuckle: Maybe they decided function was more important than design!

Bad cars are one thing.

"Ugly Cars" is a whole different list.

I think Ugly is why the Edsel and the Aztec died (unless they are still trying to sell Aztecs . . . it's hard to tell).
