Working around pin striping and decals

EZ Boy

No Woolpad Butchers Here!
I know that plastics and most stripes can be taped over but what about those mongrel sets of pin stripes that are 1/4 inch apart. How do I work in between those? I don't really want to leave the area undone. I imagine polishing straight over the top would be disasterous.

I polished over some on a 2001 Accord with SSR2 with no ill effect. I can't say it was the safest thing though........
I just went lightly over them (almost no pressure)

Removing them is also an option. :bigups

I'm just saying that because I had my OEM pinstripe removed and it looks sooooooo much "cleaner."

Use a foam applicator by hand working in the direction that the pinstripe runs, if you are worried about the PC causing damage. You can do this with all products if you want.
If the pinstripes have been on the car for any length of time, you will notice a difference in the paint after removing them. This difference may or may not buff out.
