Woolite protocol

I bought a bottle of Woolite yesterday and decided to give it a try. So many here seem to love it.



Diluted it 6:1 and put it in a spray bottle. Sprayed it on a clean terry towel and wiped down the dash (it was fairly dirty). Cleaned very well, but I did see some suds as I was wiping/scrubbing. This concerned me that a film would be left on whatever I was cleaning, and this may dry out the material.



My questions are:

1) do I need to followup with a towel damp with clean water to remove any possible film?

2) Besides dash and carpets, what else is the Woolite Wondermix good for?
 
If you feel it's not coming off completely wipe it down with a damp cloth.



You can use Woolite on pretty much everything inside the car other than glass. Plastic, vinyl, leather, carpet, etc.
 
alright I did woolite tonight,and heck yeah it cleans good.

The only problem is,how do you get all the woolite off?I used 6:1 .When I went to take it off with a damp cloth it kept multiplying like the Gremlins did when they hit water.

Must have put to much on :nixweiss I put 5oz of woolite into a 32oz bottle.close enough.
 
Lawdog-the mixture is very stable. As long as the spray bottle is properly sealed, you can probably use what is in there in a year and it will work fine.



flyinghigh-I use a dry cloth to wipe up the areas I have cleaned. You can follow with another damp then dry cloth if you wish to make sure no residue is left behind.

I thought I may need to do a clean water wipe down. I'll also try adding a little more water to the mix (10:1) and see if that helps. Should probably work just fine as I typically use very diluted SG for the tough stuff.
 
I know there is a million carpet/fabric cleaning threads out there, but I want to get something straight.

To use woolite on carpets and stains and fabric I will be removing my front seats first. Vacumming everything with a wet dry vac without a filter. Then soaking the woolite/water into the mats first, let it sit for about 15 min and then agitate with a carpet brush and a terry. Then vacumm it out with the wet/dry vac. Then let dry as needed. Do the same for the rest of the carpet, right?

Yes, but after you scrub and vacuum it wouldn't hurt to spray down with some clean water and vacuum that, also.

flyinhigh I use the solution all the time but I only sprits a couple of light sprays across a cheap Walmart MF towel and wipe the dash down .. I have never gotten suds .. Even a light spritz will lift a lot .. If I have a stuborn area I use a different MF with more on it just for the spot.



Cup holders etc i will squirt directly and work with a MF ..

You mean the cheap MF they put that sticky glue on that smears all over the car :grrr .

I was thinking I used a little much.Got some Dobie's tonight too ,to give them a try also.

I got the suds after using a damp cloth on the rear armrest of the corrado.Velour type material..

I have never ran into that and I have about 6 packages of them.



The come bundled in 5's .. 3 blue and 2 white etc. $4.97
