What should i use to clean this stuff? I have tryed the usual plastic and vinyl cleaners and they just leave smear marks.

I'd try 100% cotton towel lightyl dampened with soapy water, not dripping wet of course. Then follow with with a dry towel. It probably has some type of clear over it, making it non-porous so I'd then use a little AIO to seal it.

I posted on this before. Just use a dry MF or something and dont do anything more to it... Remember there is a plastic over the wood so u are wiping plastic.:xyxthumbs

Yeah even if its wood its still coated in clear or plastic or whatever. I've used Lemon pledge, quick detailer and Plexus and found that all work equally well.

I've used plastic cleaners like Novus and Meguiars and I've used waxes/polishes all of which work ok.

By far the best cleaner/polish I've used is Cory's Piano Polish Spray. It has UV protection, goes on easy, wipes completely off with a soft cloth and leaves an ultra glossy finish. Note that it won't remove scratches.

Here's a shot:

Pats300zx, what Meg's plastic detailer did you use? In what way, do you feel , the Novus #1 is better? I have never used Novus#1, so I don't know.

Steve,

Check with local Piano Shops, I'm sure at least one will carry it. It's actually very popular and used widely on the black laquer piano's. I use it to polish my sunglasses, the wood in my car, flat plastic surfaces in my car, crhome trim on the interior and any other hard surfaces.

BTW ask specifically for Ultra High Gloss Piano Polish.

I'm against any gloss in car interiors. Prefer the untouched brand new look which blue magic provides. Not for woodgrain of course. Unfortunately products such as Zaino,Novus and Lexol are not available in australia at present.
