Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System

A while back I bought the Wolfgang Plastik Lens Cleaning System. I was going to detail a friend's old Mercedes Benz but she went and paid someone to restore the headlights before I was able to arrange a detail with her. I was bummed I didn't get to use the Wolfgang kit I bought.

My son's Nissan Truck has needed the headlights restored for some time. He doesn't have the clean car gene from me so his truck is always filthy. He rarely drives at night, but this summer he got a part time job that will require some late nights. I wanted to improve the safety of driving at night so today I restored the headlights. Since this is my first time, I was not at all sure how it would turn out. I was very surprised at the results from such little effort.

Process:
Orange pad on cordless drill with the lens cleaner
Wipe off with an MF and a little PB Spray & Wipe
Black pad on drill with glaze
For extra measure I cleaned the surface with 1Z Deep Plastic cleaner
Applied the WG Plastic sealer
Buffed off haze with MF
Put everything away!

Lesson Learned

The headlights have a large pointed bit of plastic that sticks out from the headlight. Actually, 3 of them, but one is big! The drill takes a little bit of focus to control. The first pass I did not hold tight enough and the pad went across the large protrusion. As you can see it took a big hunk out of my pad!

Conclusion
I highly recommend this kit. It was very easy to use. I think it would be best to have a corded drill, but my cordless did fine. The whole process took about 40 minutes. I could have easily done it in less time, but I was taking it slowly.

Very nice job... The Wolfgang kit is very easy to use for people of all skill levels, but creates professional results in little time.
