Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant

Yes I have used it. Great product and is comparable to UTTG. WETS looks just as good. I am still waiting to see if it has the durability of Ultima.

I am beginning to wonder if my purchase of GT C4 is worth its high cost. I have not received it yet. So..........

Applied WG ETS to all my plastic & rubber trim yesterday afternoon. The look was incredible, and not as sticky & tacky as the Ultima product.

3 hours after applying we had a thundershower pop up. It held up nicely. Rained again today, and still not a single flaw. ( 3 hours cure time, and 2 rainstorms in 2 days.)

This will be my new trim protectant. I have not tried it on tires yet.

I'm not even considering C4 now, after using this product.

Geezzz thanks Silk for making me feel good on my expensive purchase...... Just kidin....

From the early reviews it seems to work just like UTTG. If you purchased C4 it seems like its the better of the three, but with the cost so high ETS and UTTG is a great alternative.

Can you apply WGETS over a surface that has been coated wwith a silicon base such as Armour All or does the surface need to be cleaned. C4 requires the surface clean such as a IPA wipedown. ??????????

What's this "sticky and tacky" business....do you mean before the UTTG dries or something? I never noticed that with mine :nixweiss

I haven't tried C4, but if I had a car that I was going to keep a couple of more years or longer I would. I have a DD, (my only car), probably will only keep it a year longer.

( unless the economy keeps tanking at the current pace.)

I'm sure you will enjoy a product that you don't have to apply often- such as C4.

I haven't read how-GTechniq C2 Liquid Crystal Concentrate performs on trim. The description indicates that it protects just about anything.

Being that I have gotten somewhat lazier in the hot weather this year, it's a product that has sparked my interest.

On my ford trim, it does. Maybe I am applying it too thick. After a few days in the company parking lot, dust, etc. really seems to stick to the side mirrors like flypaper.

A Chevy Silverado I applied it to, did not have the same problems.

I guess it would be inaccurate to just label UTTG as a sticky product. Depends on what type of trim, what model car, etc.

Same differences people have with LSP's on autopia.

silk- Thanks for explaining, that really did have me  as I'd never experienced it.

I bet there are a scad of variables to this one...the prep, the material being treated...all sorts of stuff. For me, it always dried just like a "regular W-O-W-A type LSP", with zero tackiness/etc.

I tried Wolfgang Trim on my car yesterday - trim and tires. I first applied it with a micro-fiber towel but that did not work. That left a rather dull finish. I then went to a foam applicator and that worked well for me. Car looks pretty darn good. The product dries fairly quickly - no tacky residue or greasy feel. Just dry. So that is a plus. But it is expensive - $14 bucks for two 4oz bottles.

for that price i would use it on trim since so little is needed, but not for tires...

Anyone ever used ZAIO on their trim? I used it to take some water spots off, and it did the trick, and the trim looked good for a very long time.

I used the WG. Works very good! Will be my go to trim sealant. Check the price of C4 and WG is a bargain. But i will stil use Duragloss 253 on my tires.

Works OK for me on some plastic trim, but the seemingly mild abrasives were *WAY* too much for the black plastic on Audi sideview mirrors; it was a huge project to fix what it did.

Generally, I'd rather use a separate abrasive and then go with KAIO (with some topper) if using an AIO for this.

I have up till now used Chemical Guys G6 Hyper Coat, which I think is fantastic, on all trim and tires. I will probably continue to use that on my tires. Although, I think I will give Duragloss 253 a try too.

UTTG is the one I've seen rave reviews of. The stuff lasts. I think it's finally going to be the product I'll be truly satisfied with for longevity on my wheel wells and undercladding/ splash shields. I plan to give it a whirl pretty soon.
