Hi guys,

I put a layer of Wg on the car yesterday over a base of AIO.

Very nice stuff indeed. Super easy to remove too.

I've noticed on the back bumper of the car, it's dusting like crazy! The bottom of the door panels are dust magnets too.

I know there are dusting issues with WG sometimes, and a wash sorts them out...... but i was wondering... is a wash necessary, or will a QD do? I dont want to put another layer on, then have it dust, and have to wait a day to get it looking great again.

thanks

Paul

If you want the best results from wolfgang wait about 12 hours so it can set up, before you wash. After that the dusting should be gone. Also if you do not let it set up you might get a durabilty issue. I found good durability if you wait a day before you wash it.:up

For best results let the first layer set for 12 hours and put on another coat. If you have driven or have dusting use some S&W, put on a second coat, wait another 12 hours before any washing or QDing.

Usually its static that causes the dust attraction and the parts in question are prolly plastic which statics up bad.. be patient give it time to cure and after the first washing it should be gone.

thanks for the advice, guys.

The bumper is plastic, but the bottom of the doors, below the rubbing strip also dusted quite a bit. Not as much as the bumper though. Wow, that thing changed colour. It;s like I;d over applied product, and hadnt buffed it off.

I washed the car this morning, and added another layer.

I love this stuff! Just like UPP for removal. Excellent.

Agreed. Cool, dry winter days make it worse. I actually get static shocks when going from plastic bumpers back to the metal.
