Winterizing: One down four to go.

I started winterizing the fleet today. Cayman S was first up. Clayed with Sonus green/fine clay. I polished with Menzerna Intensive and Finish polish and then applied Nitro Seal. It was pretty easy to apply but I probably used too much. I look forward to seeing how this lasts and how easy it is to maintain the gloss and slickness. I will likely QD as required with Zaino Z6 and wash with Z7. (Unless someone has an attractive alternative.)

I applied Gummi Pflege to all door and window seals and 303 to other rubber and plastic. I used Zaino Leather Cleaner and Dressing to the leather seats, console and dashboard. Carpets cleaned with 303 Upholstery Cleaner. Mothers Glass Cleaner for the glass. Zaino AIO on the wheels. Einzett on the tires. HD Metal Polish on chrome and stainless.

Next up, the Audi S4.

That looks stunning. You have great taste in cars. With the MB flag you are paying tribute to all of the great German marques. Am I right in guessing that the S4 is the bad weather driver?

You drive that in the winter!??

You bet. It's been great. I cant stand not driving it so I made it work. I have another set of wheels and winter tires for the cold months and snow. Provided it doesn't get too deep it has done well in snow/ice.

The Audi S4 is the main snow ride because it's unstoppable.

I don't know what's more impressive, your stable or that garage. Nice work on the Cayman, can't wait to see the others!

I'm willing to bet money you'll like the 4Runner better than the S4 in snow once you get the chance to push it a little (and once you learn how to take advantage of the 4WD).

We'll see. The whole SUV thing is new to me so I am looking forward to it. I think I will miss the heated seats, though! :)

Great stuff Brad. Keep the updates coming. Which einzett are you using on the tyres? Foam or something else?

Thanks for all the compliments everyone! :)

I used Einzette Rubber Care spray on the tires. I tried a few things and this had just the right sheen for these tires. I use something different on every car. Each tire produces a different look depending on compound, and sidewall design.

Thanks Brad for the reply. I am also interested on your take on the Nitro Seal in application and looks.

The cayman (only 2nd hand of course) is currently the only car that makes think not opting for a convertible again the next time I buy a car.
