winter washing

I'm look for recommendations for winter washing--probably in the garage--have been looking at DP 4 in 1--good product?? other recomendations?? Thanks:clap:

DP, ONR, QEW, I have tried them all and wouldn't have a problem using any of them. QEW has been my preference. I'm on my 4th gallon of QEW. I've only used a quart of ONR. I have a gallon of DP that I have tested out a few times and will be using it once my QEW runs out. Whichever is cheapest and easiest for you to get would be my pick.

I had some questions about using QEW.

First, when you mention "QEW" you mean this product, correct?

Protect All Quick & Easy Wash

I've never seen it around here, unless I'm blind.. Do they sell it in retail places like Walmart, AutoZone, etc? or is it buy online only?

Second, with QEW and/or ONR, what do you use for the 'cleaning' portion? MF mitt or similar? And about to dry and buff off? WW MF or just a regular MF? Do you have to worry about marring or any debris scratching the paint since it's waterless?

Finally, does it work good enough out in the cold temps, like below 40*F? I really want to start using it instead of just spraying off the car during the winter months.

QEW and ONR work wonders. Personally I have ONR, but I also use some DP products (though not the 4 in 1) and i have been very, very pleased with their preformance . . .

Yes, that's it.

I've never really seen it locally either, but some places that cater to RV's like Camping World carry it. I just order it on-line, and one of our sponsors, Danase, carries both QEW and ONR.

I like to use a sheepskin mitt (rinsing often), but some use a very plush MF, turning it to a clean side when dirty, and then switching to a clean MF when needed. To dry just whatever MF seems to work best, but I usually use a WW and follow that up with a plusher MF for the final wipe.

If it is above freezing you should be able to use it OK, but I'd wear rubber gloves and use warm water from the house if it's that cold.

Here are some threads on using QEW, but it doesn't differ that much from ONR in concept:
