Winter Sealant in the Midwest

I know this has been asked dozens of times and I've searched, but wanted some specific advice.

I ONR wash and QD my daily drive about once a week if not more (Carbon Black BMW, the same is applicable to the GF's daily drive Jet Black BMW) . What do the experts advise as the best sealant for winter in the Midwest given the aforementioned wash/QD regiment?

Options:

FMJ

Jetseal 109

FK 1000P

Number of recommended applications is also welcome.

Thanks in advance!

I use Ultima Paint Guard Plus. Opti-Seal is good as well. Haven't been though a winter with it on yet, but so far its holding up great.

Out of those 3 FK 1000P or collinite 845. Zaino also does well in the winter and doesn't seem to hold as much road rash as 845.

845 is the gold standard for winter. It doesn't just bead for months, it actually protects the finish.

Thanks for the advice everyone.

Is topping FK1000P with 845:

A) a good idea

B) overkill

C) counter-productive

D) just a plain waste of product

??

My winter routine is #21 (x2) topped with #16. Lasts through the 5+ months of snow, salt and cold weather in the Wisconsin area, even with a few touchless washes.

Potentially counter-productive. 845 has a lot of solvents that could affect the 1000P layer.

You would be better off doing 2 layers of 1000p 24 hrs apart. I know for a fact that works. Not sure how 815 and 1000p would play together.

any recommendations for OTC winter sealants?

On my daily driver, I'd consider trying NXT 2.0 (x2) and topping with Meg's Hi-Tech Yellow Wax (#26). I'd follow up with Meg's UQW after every wash to maintain.

One fast and easy OTC solution. There are many others.

I have found that weekly use of Ultimate Quik Wax after every wash does more to make my car easy to keep clean than anything else. This only adds about 10 minutes to my wash time and seems to make subsequent car washing at least that much faster.
