Winter Prep on 07 Mariner

There's nothing too exciting here, but I finished the winter prep on one of my daily drivers: 07 Mercury Mariner. I've had this vehicle almost 1 year. The paint is still smooth, so it didn't require clay. It sits in the garage all but 45 minutes/day. Here's the process/products used:

- 2 bucket Zymol wash (have a gallon I'm trying to use up before my DG wash)

- Absorber Dry

- Tarminator

- DG 108 (like 101) SUV Polish on everything top to bottom -- including glass, trim, nerf bars, etc. (PS -- I love this stuff. I might pick up some more if my Carquest still has some. It comes in 16 oz at the same price of 8 oz. of DG 101).

- DG 105 (24 hrs later)

- WheelWax on wheels (these wheels are a major pain to keep clean -- ~15 spokes)

- Stoner More Shine on tires & wheel well plastic

- Stoner Trim Shine on Nerf Bar steps

Here's some various shots I've taken at various times/locations today:

the flakes came out this afternoon:

I've been using AW quite often thoughout the summer -- which really bring out the flake IMO.

PS -- everything was applied by hand. I haven't taken the "PC or UDM plunge" yet.

I live in the Midwest. It goes from 80 to 40 within a day's notice. I also have another car to do, and our kid's B-day parties, Pumpkin Patches, School Fall Festival, etc. This is a very busy time of year for us, so I figured I better get started early... I can top it with AW until winter really comes.

We already had to use our heat 3 weekends ago -- then it went right back into the mid->upper 80s (A/C).

this is pretty early for winter prep. well for me it sounds like it, since im in cali. but word from news is it just might be around the corner which is great cause i love snowboarding.

sorry to get off topic. awesome work by the way. i dont think i could apply wax to wheel with so many spokes. honestly, i'd rather clean my room.
