Well went out saturday morning to wash my fiance's car and it ended up going from a simple wash to the beginning of winter prep for this car.

Washed / clayed / IP / FP / Z5-ZFX / Z2-ZFX (x2).

Hopefully next weekend we'll get a couple more coats of Z2 then follow it up with some S100 or Soverin if I can talk myself into the deal at autogeek right now.

Also...any tips on a final topper for Steel Gray???...I've tried several things and have never been completely satisfied with this color of paint...no more gray for me in the future.

Sean...thanks for the reply and complments on the Mods. Since it's my fiance's car everything had to be done in moderation...not too low, not too crazy ect and all in all it turned out to be a very clean car and I like the look quite a bit. If it were my driver it would be lower, have staggered wheels and a few other things but for her it's perfect.

I'll look into the Trade Secret. I've been looking for a good paste but really just cannot bring myselt to purchase any Soverin (sp?) just yet.

p.s. The winter prep will continue on this car and begin on my black A4 next week...stay tuned.

The color has it's good days and bad days in my eyes...I too loved it when we purchased the car...the more and more I learn and become obsessed about detailing the less and less I like the color...it's just light enough that no matter what you do to it it never pops like you want...but it's just dark enough to look really bad when it's slightly dirty.

My fiance wanted red when we purchased the car I pushed for the Steel Gray. I think that when my fiance turs into my wife here in a couple of months we'll go get her (and me for that matter) an Imloa Red M3 to have some fun in. As much as I want black everytime I walk past my black audi I see all the minor imperfections that the rest of the world doesn't see and end up spending countless hours in the garage to fix them.

Hi! I've also got steel grey, and to tell you the truth, your car looks 10x's better than mine, i wax it almost every week and still can't get it to shine as much as yours. Reguardless, your car looks great! Love the shine! :xyxthumbs
