Winter maint. waxing

I have done my vehicle with Megs #6 , followed by Megs #16 and am looking for detail spray that cuts back on dust a little if possible and a spray wax for in-between washings . I do use ONR fort final washings but I do have to go to touch less to get the winter salt/sand off first .

I wouldn't do the QDing/spray waxing because there will almost certainly be residual dirt that will result in marring (when you do the rubbing/buffing).

I'd wait until you do your ONR washes and do it then. Or maybe just refresh the #16.

This time of year I wouldn't be concerned about the dust/etc.; I'd be all about minimizing the chance of instilling marring.

Yes that is true , but I would not do anything until I washed with ONR 1st. The salt dust can accumulate pretty quick .

That is usually my routine after the touch less wash is to come home and wash again with ONR before it gets touched with anything else.

Scottwax had a great suggestion: Put 1 OZ of OCW in your ONR mix and then just do a normal ONR wash--works great, but I use Aquawax as it's a bit less expensive.

After I wash my car I always use Aquawax and it really adds to the longevity of my base coat of wax.....really a great product.

I always keep a spray bottle of ONR mixed up for QD-ing assuming the car has nothing more than a bit of winter dust on it. I add 1/2 oz of ONR to a quart spray bottle and that works nicely.
