Winter detail- Contour SVT (98)

So yesterday I did a full exterior detail on the daily driver Contour (including all jams and engine), the car cleans up well for being over 7 years old. Although the car has great wetness and reflectivty and decent depth the metallic just doent pop like I thought it would with Zaino? Process was:



NXT wash

Clay Majic clay

Orange blast on rims/tires/wells

OCC by rotary at 1400 rpm with light cut pad

Z2-Pro by PC at 3 with finishing pad (X3 with ZFX)

PB's bold n brite on tires

303 on trim

Wheel Wax on rims

Tire foam on engine and wells

Its not that quick compared to the M, but its pretty fun for a DD. I think the styling holds up well for its age too. As far as mods it is bone stock, except for wheels/tires, tint and stereo.
 
Honestly. It looks great. The metallic "pop" that you are looking for I have not se n with Zaino either, but I have been extremly happy.

It leaves the car very shiney, sharp.

Z5 in my case was a bit more subtle, warmer I think.

Here is the pic of the car with Z2 and Z8.

I would say it looks exactly like yours (maybe a bit shineier because I am in the sun)

i get the same thing, my friends have started to call me a raccoon. tehy are like, its shiny enough dude!!!.... what can i say, something about black just looks dead sexy yeah baby, yeah...
