DO automotive glass replacement and repair shops polish windshields?



Mine has a ton of micro-pits from heavy highway useage and I would like to get it professionally polished, filled, and sealed. But. I have no idea whether this kind of thing exists and or is comon.



Anyone else ever had this done or heard of such a thing?
 
No, they can't fix or fill pits in the windshield. Polishing would likely lead to blurred vision - like a bad eye-glass subscription.
