Will this SFX backing plate work with LC pads?

I bought my PC with this backing plate (found here) and the SFX pad kit from autopia-carcare.



I am wondering will this work with the LC pads found at PakShak, or do I need their 6" backing plate for the 7.5" LC pads?



I really don't want to spend $20 on another plate. I'd like to see if the LC pads cut better than the SFX ones



I used the yellow SFX-1 pad with SSR2.5 and the swirl removal was OK, but nothing to write home about on my black Infiniti
