After a NXT wash,
should I use this?

Will this give me a better shine on a white car?

A lot of people like it. I have had trouble with it smearing and such. Apparently there's a technique that I have yet to master. If you do use it, make sure you use a "pure" wax. A cleaner wax will remove it, and sealants may have trouble bonding to it.

Like Big Leegr, I could never get the stuff to work for me. I have purchased it several times and ended up giving away almost full bottles after my frustration with it. No more.
I have heard that Meg's #81 Hand Polish will give the same results with much less difficulty.:dunno
The problem with #81 is that it comes in 32 oz. bottle. Maybe you could split one with someone.

There is no 'should'. There is only 'could'. You 'could' use that, but why? That is the question you need to ask yourself. Don't just do it because you can. Know why you are doing it first.

djsway,

If you have a medium to dark colored vehicle, a glaze like #7 can make a considerable difference in depth and wetness. On a light colored, the effect is less noticeable.

Ole #7 can be a bit finicky to remove, but isn't what I would call difficult. Having said that, if you are newcomer to detailing, it might be a product you want to pass on until you become a bit more experienced. The #81 is a bit easier to use and has nearly the same affect on the finish as #7. As a matter of fact, #7 was made specifically for single stage paints, whereas #81 was designed for use on clear coat finishes... probably why it's easier to use on them.

Hope this helps.

My first time I "really"detailed a car I used AIO,#7 and P21S. Not knowing what I was doing it took a bit of an effort to remove #7. After finally removing the glaze my car (imho) looked the best it ever had. An hour later after I applied and removed P21S my car looked the best it ever had. #7 isn't the easiest glaze to use but to me the effort was worth it. Now saying that, like Boss said #7 is for single stage paint and #81 is for clearcoat.

Big Leegr...I had a few White Cars and I can agree, I could never get the stuff to work for me either. If I had to use a Glaze ?? But Really Why?? I would recommend you save your money and get some Chemical Guys Revive Glaze or Crystal Glaze.

I started using the Pro-Polish on some of my customers white cars and honestly I was amazed. If the paint is oxidized I say wash first with NXT or your choice of wash, then follow with a premium Clay bar to clean the surface and bring back the nice white.... Follow it with a Polish, Glaze or Wax, YOUR CHOICE. My advice would be if the paint is in good shape Just a nice Carnauba Wax or Glaze. If you have some scratches I would go with a Polish, Either 3M Finesse-It or if you don’t mind getting a gallon Chemical Guys Pro-Polish is an amazing value and I guarantee you will love it. …that’s my 2 cents.
