Will Sonus QD Streak over Carnauba?

Believe it or not, I'm currently down to only 1 QD. I have Sonus, because I'm doing the Klasse thing on my Jeep. But I recently did a full detail on my father-in-law's black Prelude, which he is showing to a potential buyer, tomorrow. I finished it last week with NXT, but I'm thinking of throwing a coat of IHG and S100 on top.

I just wonder if the acrylics in Sonus will cause streaking if I have the S100 on and later need to QD. I guess I could dilute some WAUD, instead, but would much prefer to use the Sonus, since it is a dedicated QD.

Any advice?

Are you laying Imperial Hand Glaze and S100 over your NXT? The Imperial Hand Glaze will have a negative impact upon your NXT. I like to save my acrylic quick detailers for my acrylic sealants, and my carnauba quick detailers for my waxes.

I've used the Sonus Acrylic Spritz on S100, #16 and a few other "non-acrylic" products. Works spiffily! One of my favorite QD's!

I've used Sonus Carnauba QD, and I have to say that it is a very good product. It is somewhat mild, but it does an excellent job of stabilizing your freshly waxed surface. It is ideal (as other very good qd's) for surfaces that have a lot of wax, so as to sharpen up the high resolution abilities of carnauba, as well as a good way of maintaining your waxed surface and getting rid of occasional haze.

The short answer is NO, it won't streak.

The longer answer is that I use Sonus Acrylic Spritz (SAS) and Sonus Acrylic Glanz (SAG) with great results with Carnauba waxes. The acrylic seem sto like Carnauba wax.

Go figure :nixweiss

I appreciate the responses. I skipped the IHG--I figure the NXT has the filling duties covered (not that there is too much to hide). Stuck that S100 on and used the Sonus on it without issue. I hate to mix-n-match like that, but there was no sense buying another QD for just a few uses. Nice to see the versatility of the Sonus QD.

Thanks guys.
