If your paint surface is clean (ex. clayed and polished), I would say it's not going to do much to deepen your finish or add durability. However, if it's kinda dirty, then the 601 may make a bit of a difference.
^^ Agreed. The way I look at it is that it is such an easy step to take to ensure quality selant bonding.
It's an esy step since once it hazes you put the 105 right over it and then buff them both off... killer combo by the way.
I did a black g6 about 2-3 weeks ago with 101/601/105. I bumped into the owner at the store and he hadn't washed it yet and is still going on about the finish!
