Will a little water hurt?

I was applying Mothers pre-wax cleaner to my Mom's car on Sunday and accidentaly left the little flip-up thing that the product comes out of open and on the driveway while I went on to wash. I'm afraid a little bit of water may have got into the bottle while I washed, though not much cause the hole is small. Will this render the product ineffictive or, even worse, detrimental? Sorry to bother the good people of DC, but any input?

Draw a little off the top with a syringe and see if the product and any water that *may* have entered the bottle have separated or layered out. If not completely happy with that, shake the whole bottle vigourously (lid closed this time ;)) and empty the contents into a 500ml clear plastic jug or similar - it must be clear though so you can see any layering as the products settle and/or hopefully separate. Let this sit undisturbed o/night. Think distillation: whisky and petrol...

I tried it on Tues. night by putting some in a clear plastic cup. Its still sitting in my garage and no layers have yet seperated so I think its ok. Thanks for the idea:beer

Water is usually the main ingredient of liquid products (unless it is oil or something) - it will not hurt it at all unless a gallon got in there :)
