Wondering how or if this will bond ?

As far as winter durability goes , snow , road salt , touch less automatic carwashes with #21 how will it hold up ?

Would AW bond over #21 ?

Here is what I have to do in winter. I go to the touchless car wash , it'a a brand new facility and I know chemicals are harsh , but it's 2 min. away and the truck instantly comes home and into a heated garage for a wipe down , wax or a QD.

I don't see why it would not. AW does pretty well bonding for a liquid wax. I think that it would be a winning combo. I personally would use Collinite 845IW of 476s for winter, because with the AW you are going to have to reapply at least every two to three weeks for that extra layer of protection. However, Collinite should last you until spring even with the harsh soap at the car-wash. It is detergent proof. (If you want to use AW then polycharge it. AW with Polycharger will work better than just straight AW.) (I cannot seem to be able to find the dosing for it though)

I know but being a detail nut I usually try things often. I also do not have Collinite. I don't mind occasional application of AW , since have quite a bit and have heated garage to work.

I personally am a bit confused as to why you would want to put #21 over DG 105.I feel that #105 is a better product, more durable compared to #21.Also,the cleaners in#21 would no doubt weaken(at the least) your #105 application.

IMO, you would do much better through the winter with #105 refreshed/topped with Aquawax after every second or third wash.

I think that he put the title of the thread in reverse of the question he wanted to ask. His question was do you think that AW will bond over M #21?

If you've got a heated garage, and can wash it two minutes away, you can reapply your LSP frequently. I agree with the previous poster, I'm not sure why you would want to put #21 over the DG instead of just applying more DG, but on another note, if you have a heated garage, is there any reason you don't do a QEW/ONR wash in there? That might be less harsh on your LSP.

The 105 is nice and I like the Megs 21 which IMO is a warmer look , wetter , deeper look. I was also under the impression M21 has no cleaners , but M20 does have cleaners. I only have M21.

have have 2 bottles of 105 , maybe I"ll just use that up and AW over it for winter . Just like the depth of the 21 .

M21 has very light cleaners according to the Megs forum (Mike Phillips). But I also read somewhere that #21 also does not have cleaners. Well I have to believe that it does when Mike says it does. But #21 has been known to play nice with #7 glaze, which is unusual for an LSP with any cleaners.

That would be a good thread to start: What sealents are without cleaners?
