Why do people suggest diluting AmazingRollOff (ARO) ?

Ummm.... Ya.....

Why do people suggest diluting AmazingRollOff (ARO) ?

ARO is water activated so pre-mixing it simply activates the product before you use it.

Would it not be better to simply wet your surface and apply ARO and scrub sooner and more/less depending on your needs. (This is how I do it.)

I guess I would just dislike always having to mix up just what I needed for each time I used it.

I have always asked the people that claim they dilute it if they notice it doesnt work as well as ARO is "water activated". I have yet to get an answer back, I suspect that most folks that do this dont know that it is water activated, they just think they are being more economical by cutting it.

I tried diluting it once. It still worked great one the first use (immediately after diluting). A week or two later when I used it the product did not work so well (IMO). I can't say what the shelf life would be, only that one week is too long

I no longer dilute. However, if you where doing a lot of cars the same day or diluted just enough for the one car it should work just fine.

I'll give the same answer here as I did on AG:

I cut it 50% with water to save product and have yet to come across a situation where full strength was required. I keep it (diluted) in a quart spray bottle and it works just the same as when new six months to a year later.

agreed. water activated so why dilute it

I keep it full strength but only use it when necessary. mainly on boats or really gross tires

I bought a gallon years ago when everyone was raving about it. Haven't used it since my first purchase of Meg's APC+ which puts ARO to shame in performance and price.

Like you, I too have posed this question and have yet to receive a satisfactory regarding water activated vs diluting with water.... If it is indeed activated coming in contact with water then I'm assuming that sitting activated doesn't diminish its performance.

Amazing Roll-Off
works but it's very expensive, somewhere in the vicinity of $26.00 a gallon. I did buy a gallon to try and once it's gone....it's gone..

Meguiar's Super Degreaser works phenomenally well and costs only $16.00 a gallon. At the very least I dilute it with water 4:1 and have yet to find a situation it can't handle including the filthiest tires and wheels..and engine compartment...:bigups
