Why am I afrai dto use my Yosteve MF's

I use them all the time for buffing off wax residue, etc. They work great.
If the product has a lot of thick, chaulky residue, then use a cotton towel. If the product has a thin residue with lots of oil, then the Microfiber works best.

CRUZMISL- You're smart to be cautious! BUT..I sure don't see any sign of marring from MY YoSteve MF's.
Think of it this way-the "grabbiness" will help pull the excess stuff (wax, whatever) off the finish with less need for rubbing than your Koala's. Less rubbing is good. As long as the MF isn't harsh enough to scratch your 'vette (and I REALLY don't think it is), it's just a matter of having the least contact with your paint. Just don't rub hard, or any longer than you really need to. You could do a final fog-with-breath-and-wipe with your Koala's if it'll give you added peace of mind, using the MF's to remove the bulk of your product residue.
On the rare spots where my XJS has flawless paint (all 3 square centimeters of it and I'm not joking
) the YoSteve's did NOT induce any swirls when I used them to remove my final polish. That car has VERY VERY soft single stage paint, much more susceptible to marring than your C5 (my C5 didn't seem as fragile as some people make it out to be, perhaps because I'm used to the Jag). MY YoSteve MF's are the only thing I'd ever use to remove products from my "good" cars. Steve, you oughta give me a discount

Saabman- Others get better results, but I never got a car completely dry using ANY plush-style MF. The waffle-weaves, however, are superb. They are just amazing.
