whos your team?

zesty-man

how do ya like it?
whos your favorite baseball, basketball, and football team?

baseball
arizona diamondbacks, possibly the yankees. ive hated the yankees all my life, but if randy johnson goes there, ill follow him. when he went from seattle to arizona i followed him, and he won a championship. thats one i wont forget, arizona coming back in the bottom of the 9th in game 7 against those stupid yanks!!! and johnson pitching in relief for curt schlling. one memory i wont forget is seeing barry bonds hitting a homerun off of randy johnson in pac bell park in san francisco. but hey, in the end johnson still got the win.

basketball
LA lakers. ive pretty much always loved the lakers. i got to go to staples center, and that place is HUGE!!!! i dont know about tihs new look lakers team though.... will they get to the playoffs?

football
always and forever, the san francisco 49ers. steve young was my idol, and to this day, #8 is my favorite number. i still remember that playoff game where he threw the game winning pass to terrel owens with no time remaining against the rival green bay slackers. after that game they lost to the falcons, who eventually became the superbowl champs :(. the same thing happened the two years when they lost to tampa bay, and tampa bay became the superbowl champs. i think the glory days are over for now, but as i say to my friends that tease my team all the time, they could go on to be 2-45 and i would still be a fan!!! hey, theyre 2-0 aganist arizona! (0-12 agianst everyone else........................)

I'm originally from Pittsburgh, so the world revolves around the Steelers. The world is a happy place these days. :)

I used to be a big baseball & Braves fan but my interest really went away after the last strike. The steroid situation and the pathetic response from baseball & the players will keep my interest at a minimum.

For football I'm a lifelong Georgia Bulldogs & Atlanta Falcons fan! I was a bit disappointed in the Dawgs this year, but have been elated about the Falcons - I still can't believe we've got Michael Vick.

I really don't get into basketball or hockey too much; hockey is pretty fun to watch though...I have a friend with season tix for the Thrashers and was looking forward to a game or two.

Baseball:
National League - Chicago Cubs
American League - Boston Red Sox

Basketball: Miami Heat & Orlando Magic

Football: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Tennessee Titans & Auburn Tigers

WAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR EAGLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

have been a green bay packer fan all of my life. i took a lot of ribbing from my family because they were viking fans. somehow i just never was able to make a switch to any other team even when i was in seattle for several winters or texas these last few years.

baseball is the same way. being from the midwest the twins have been the mainstay of my baseball career. although i found it easier to make a switch to the mariners when i spent winters there. cable televison has given me access to the cubs who would be my third choice.

being an older participant into this forum i will date my self by saying that Bill Russell, Sam Jones, John Havelchek, JoJo white, and the great Larry Bird all mean that the Boston Celtics are my only team of choice for basketball

Baseball and basketball, I am a homer all of the way. You have to love teh D-Backs, and the Suns this year have something special going.
For Football, With the poor excuse for a pro team that we have I cannot be a homer. Sometimes it seems that the best football team in Arizona is a high school team. So I will pass on a favorite football team. I do love teams that come out of nowhere against all odds.

Baseball: Chicago Cubs
Football: Carolina Panthers
College Basketball (most important): CAROLINA TARHEELS!!!

oh yea, the suns are really good this year. its like they are the new lakers! i think they have the highest scoring average in the league. they also got steve nash, and armari is really coming along!

just hope johnson stays with the babybacks. i know they can come back again, they just need more pitchers. too bad sexson left :(.

P.S. my 49ers are 2-0 against the cardinals (and 0-12 against everyone else :()

My favorite NFL team has to be the Eagles-offense wise. Gotta love T.O., even though he sprained his ankle last week. McNabb showed some mad skills running the ball against the Cowboys too. Haven't seen him do that in quite a while.
When it comes to defense, you can't beat the Ravens. Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, and many more are just awesome players. They had Reed "Wired" on the game against the Colts this week. He was pumped about getting to Manning!

Other sports besides NASCAR I don't care about. :)

i have a pretty cool story about the raiders. on our last trip we planned to go see a raiders pre season game. but before the game, we decided to spend a nite in napa valley and have wine :). anyways, we learned that the raiders team was staying at the same hotel as us, so we went on a quick tour of napa valley wineary (however you spell it), and came back and waited till they finished their pre season training. i was face to face with all of the raiders and for the most part they were friendly. i got most of them to sign a raiders t-shirt that i bought. a couple linemen got past me, but i got managed to get ganon, wheatly, and porter. actually, i talked to woodson a little bit as he was getting into his car. i thanked him, and we just had a pretty quick conversation. HOWEVER, that guy jerry rice just walked rite past everyone. the security gaurd said that earlier today he already gave autographs to people and that he was tired. :ticked

anyways, i believe they won the preseasom game, but i forgot who it was against. that place is crazy. i got to see the black hole, and those guys are insane. pretty much the highlight of the game was that some lady flashed everyone, and she was escorted out by 3 cops. also, i think a couple other guys had one too many beers and were escorted out too.

zestyman. we raider fans have never considered jerry rice a real oakland raider .. he is in my opinion a 49er and he is a great player but not a real raider .. tim brown is a raider and even though he is with tampa bay he is a RAIDER

I'm a big UGA fan like mtodde....so much so that we scored some box seats and are heading down to Tampa next week with our 12x12 Bulldog EZ-UP for the Outback Bowl :jump
