Who's still using nuba as their LSP

Don't get me wrong -- on a weekend night out, I'll throw on a coat of glaze and 'nuba cause I just love the oily look...

Unless it's a garage queen *literally*, I have stopped using nuba for the longevity aspects of things.

I may have to try 1000P for all the rants and raves, SBEE posts about it, but I'm just alternating between Z5/Z8 on some cars and Optiseal as my primary LSP due to the durability factor.

I guess everyone has their own subjective criteria, but I can't think of using 'nuba primarily even as a LSP for anything that doesn't fall into garage queen status.

I usually put a sealant like NXT under a carnauba. But I'm always trying new things on my car, cuz I can't ever get it where I want it to be.

On my gf's black car she gets straight carnauba.

Its the only thing I use. Been doing it for years. Collinite for the winter, more beauty waxes to play around with during Spring, Summer and Fall. I just sold a 1996 Honda that never saw a garage for more than book value. I had 13 people e-mail me within minutes of posting the advertisement on my town's website. It only had nubas protecting it for 12 years through the acid rain and fallout in the northeast.

Granted these are "beauty" shots but believe me it looked good. I kept Collinite and Meguiar's #16 on it all these years. Nubas are perfectly durable.

@XRL:

+1 for me too. I like to experiment depending on the car/color. As far as "nubas Collinite 845 is my goto product

I still use carnaubas for all of my cars. I have had great durability out of it even on my daily driver, which does not enjoy the luxury of a cover or a garage. The key is to liberally wax it during the summer months and maintain it with qd's and a steady washing regimen during the winter.

Hehe, I just picked up 4 more Nubas this past month :)

I'm a nuba person. I tend to restart the protection every month or so out of habit and apply additional layers after each wash :D

Nuba all the way for me! I could care less about getting 6 months of durability on my car. I wax every other wash. :D

IMO, regular maintenance always wins over durability.

The Collinite 476S and 845 that I use on one of the dog-haulers might be considered carnauba/synthetic hybrids, but I'd expect the #16 I use on my wife's A8 to be considered a carnauba. Nah, I don't have to redo any of these very often, not like the Jag with its Souveran.

I have so many layers of different products on my truck. If it would build up it would look like a 6' lift kit was on it. Everything I but I try on my vehicle first. Recently 2 coats of Souveran,Danase Wet Glaze, and Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant. I'll Wax my ride in the garage while it's raining. It's my therapy!

im with raski on this one! durablilty? is that something we tell our customers about? lol i could give to rats' *** about it! i wax at least once a month on the house cars! although i have a 94 cherokee beater i ahven't in 3 years lol!!

Until I put Opti-Coat on my car for test purposes, my primary LSP was Carnauba Moose. Use it a lot on my customer's cars. Easy on, easy off, looks great and has good durability.
