Who's got the best prices on car covers?

I did a search and all I came up with was past discussions over what the best cover is, but not where to buy them.

I want to buy a Weathershield HD, anyone know who's got the best deal?

I know Autogeek has them for $495.00. So far, that's the cheapest I have found.

This is going to be for my 04' Ford Expedition, by the way, that's why it's so expensive.

Yikes! Well for a SUV you're going to have pay more :(

I coulda swore someone corrected me maybe about 2 months ago saying webcovers.com (?) is now generally the cheapest but like I said, don't quote me on that one :nixweiss.

My place is apparently out of business. I did find it through a lot of googling and doing a lot of price comparisons between sites.

WOW, only $399 from webcovers.com. Ordered and on it's way, thank you very much!

So, what's the real deal with the two cover method? Does one by itself not do a good job or is this for *added* protection?

One cover never did a good enough job in even light to moderate rain for me. Unfortunately, I paid good money and still had unacceptable amounts of rain leaking through, even perhaps only through the seams, so we discovered the 2 cover method. It works apparently because both covers together block out all of the rain close to 100% of the time (with exception of near monsoon-like conditions)--whatever gets in must get through the seams of both and, I assume, due to the nature of the material of both covers, they still remain breathable as to not trap moisture as say, a tarp would.

Give Dwayne a call at Detail City. I just had him make me a custom cover for use in the garage for my Elky and it came out great, fits like a glove, took only two weeks. The price was less than most ready made covers.

Pat, you wouldn't be planning on putting one on top of the other would you?

Nope Weathershield HD is for 350 in driveway.

NOAH is for 300ZX when kept outside for overnight car shows :D

From everything I ever saw, Calcover is one of the most expensive. It appears presently webcovers.com has the cheapest prices

Dwayne actually makes covers or is another distributor for Covercraft?

I was wondering the same thing.

Mine is already ordered, just have to wait two weeks before shipping out, that's all. No big deal. It just sucks that the car I'm buying this for, I have decided to sell so I've owned the car for 8 months without a cover and now that I'm selling it, I'm getting a cover. :doh I'll just have to figure that in the selling price, that's all.

Hi Pat,

Which car cover do you think I should get for indoor storage only (dust only)? I mean one thats light, almost like bedsheet weight, and is easy to handle (ie. one person can remove and put it on themselves) and compact enough that it can roll or fold up and not take up a lot of space.

I think I have it narrowed to down to something like covercraft's Block-It 200 or DUSTOP.

Thanks.

I'm not Pat, but I might be able to help until he gets a chance to reply. Go to webcovers for the best price, hands down: http://www.webcovers.com/CarCovers/

Scroll down to the Indoor Use Only Covers section and take your pick. The first one on the list looks like the best to me. Form-Fit Custom cover.
