Who has the most coats of KSG?

I've got 5 and am wondering at which point it starts to not even do anything extra. Anyone put a new layer on every month or so? If you can't count how many guestimate ;) (and yes, I wanted a new thread to read :D)
 
sorry but im trying to get my posts over the 800 mark.....:p steve....why is it that i really thought you had like at least 10 coats on you VW....maybe im thinking of all the blitz...souveran and all...hey........just realized that although DK has used Klasse...the first 2 replies to this thread of from zainoheads........we are so nosey.have to get into peoples business...:)
 
1-AIO, 3-SG. I was going to go to 5 but I decided to stick with 3. I'm going try to maintain with the Sonus Spritz that came with my CM Kit. Although I didn't hear back from any users so I'll post about that in a month or two.
 
I have 5 coats on the Mustang, but I used the rear spoiler as a testing ground. It has about 10 coats. The SG really covered up some major swirls and some water spot etching. I am going to go at it with a PC when I strip and Blackfire it....

bigboy, wow! Ten coats? Just out of curiousity, did you wait the entire 'unofficial' required cure time or did you layer them on back to back? I'm asking because I plan to layer on a lot of coats of SG as well, but I'm not sure if I have the patience to wait a day between coats.
 
I have 3 coats, two applied the same day, and then one two weeks after that. I'm going to try and apply a coat every few weeks for a while and see what happens. I might be stripping it all in a few months/come spring to try new products, so I kind of want to expirament with it as much as I can. Funny, you would think I would not use it so I don't waste any, since I am going to apply something else... Nope, I'm gonna pile it on (so to speak, of course). :D

Some of the coats were in the same day...maybe 2 to 6 hours inbetween. The other coats were next day or days apart. I really didn't notice any difference in layering, but that doesn't mean there wasn't any difference. i just didn't see it..... The SG just kept getting glossier and deeper, and definitely covered the paint imperfections....

I can't remember if I stopped at 12 coats or 15 coats. I know I have at least 12 of KSG. On top of that I have 8 of Pinnacle Paste Glaz. My car is white and I love the way it shines with Klasse and PPG. You could go snow blind looking at it in the sun. :) I put on a new layer of PPG about every other week. Less now that it is colder than hell outside. I think I'm done for awhile and I'm going to wait till Spring to Blackfire. :) :) But, then again, I'm a fanatic.
 
I have 6 SG layers when I used to add a layer each week but stopped for now. I'm a bit scared of layering over all the L.A. smog and pollutants.
 
I thought that the number for Dave B. was over 20. I had 8 on before switching the truck to zaino. My wifes honda has 6 on it. with blitz x4 on it.
 
Koyaanisqatsi, how do you like zaino over Klasse? I am thinking of switching my car over to that come spring (or sooner).

I used 3M SMR for light cars on my truck before putting Zaino on. So it stripped any klasse that was on there off. I like zaino but it is a bit expensive for the whole system. I kind of liked the look of klasse SG on my light colored truck. When I run out of zaino I may switch back. We'll see how it lasts over the long winter in PA.
