I've got a white Chevy Trailblazer coming in for a detail this weekend. I find it kinda hard to work on white (and kinda boring) as its hard to see defects. Anybody have any tips for really making white look good?
 
Get the lighting right so you can see the defects, and then get the correction right. I *like* white, at least on certain vehicles, when it's really polished up nice.



Know how I'm always bashing fluorescent lights? Sometimes they work surprisingly well for spotting defects on white...no idea why :nixweiss Otherwise, same ol' same ol'...in the absence of a SunGun, try incandescent lighting for inspection, with all the other lights turned off.
 
white, imo, is one of those colors that benefits more from the total package:



dressed tires, dressed plastics, dressed wheel wells, clean mirrors, no dirt anywhere, etc that is what makes white pop imo:
