White Subaru STi

Worked on this car about 2 weeks ago, but didn't get a chance to snap any photos since I finished at night. The owner snapped some photos post-detail and I just received the photos yesterday.

We scheduled for the detail about 1 or 2 weeks in advance. However, he was at an ice house I believe and there were girls in bikinis washing cars, so he decided to give it a whirl. There was definitely damage done to the paint, not really sure if it was from the wash or not though. Here's his avatar on another forum:

ONR wash

Clay

OC/OP (50/50) with a touch of RMG via PC

Prime Carnauba via PC

OCW/Carnauba Jett (50/50)

Great work, but that girl's butt wasn't worth paint damage. Hope the frontal view was much much much better.

We ate at a restaurant a few months ago and they had a school car wash there. I couldn't believe how black the water was and one girl dropped her sponge, picked it up and started washing without a rinse! Although the rinse water would have been almost as dirty as the ground. BTW the Subaru looks great, you really made the white pop!

You are definitely right. He told me they washed his car with palmolive dish soap. There was so much damage to the paint that it actually required a second step to remove it but the budget was a 1-step.

Looks great! Do you think mixing OCW with CJ is better than OCW alone? How is the durability of the two when mixed together? Car looks really wet.

Another member started the 50/50 mix.

I think I hopped on the bandwagon because CJ is really tough to apply. With OCW mixed in, it makes applying it so much easier. As far as durability goes, both products are known for their durability and it holds up very well.

OCW is a great wax itself, and I'm guessing that it would last longer by itself, but not that much longer. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
