Hi Guys, I have been working on my 2000 Mereceds Benz C230K and now I know these scratches are there I want them out. :grrr Car has been washed and clayed already.
Problem is everything I've tried so far hasn't worked.
So far I've tried Meguiar's Consumer line prodcuts by hand on some test spots(Ultimate Compund, ScratchX, and SwirlX). I tried these since they are readily available OTC where I live.
In addition a fellow autopian (The Walrus) let me try his G110 before I get mine and we tried UC with a 5.5 " orange pad from Lake Country with not much success.
So my question is can these scratches be removed or at least improved on?
I am thinking about these options:
1. 5.5 " Orange pad with M105
2. 4" Orange pad with UC and /or M105
3. 5.5" Yellow pad with UC and / or M105. I have not read good things about the yellow pad and most posts seem to indicate to skip it for the PFW
4. Any recommendation from autopians. Mainly looking for a product that is know to work on hard paints. I am assumming mine is hard. But they could also be deep scratches. Any way to know? I don't want to cut thru the clear either. :nixweiss
5. Give up and live with them.:aww:
