I just bought a 95 M5. It is cosmos black with vanilla interior. It's got some old caked up dirt and grime. What is the best product to use on this?

Thanks

Bruce

Cool, what about 303? I have some zaino cleaner. I'll try that first. Then if NG I'll go to woolite. Will 303 hurt the leather?

Thanks.

Bruce, if youre talking about 303 Protectant, its a vinyl protectant and not a leather cleaner. It will only leave a nice rich matte layer of dressing over the dirt. .

No, I was referring to 303 cleanser.

Water and Woolite. Even Lexus is now recommending using water and a 'wool-safe' detergent in their owner's manuals.

When I first got the red '75 Jag, its light-beige leather seats were disgustingly filthy/grimy. Hit 'em with Zaino's leather cleaner and a gentle-bristled brush, wiped off with cotton towel, and I could not believe the transformation. It did a great job. (Naturally, I then followed with Z's LIAB, and was thrilled.) Maybe there are also other equally-effective treatments out there (like the Woolite that Scottwax recommends), but this is the only one I've tried, and I was happy with it.

Although its not available anymore, the Sonax Interior Cleaner is fantastic. I did a clients leather seats who's kids marked up with a black Bic pen, and it came off without any problem as well as dirt and grime.

So does Infiniti now "Water and a 5% natureal detergent for wool" thats fancy for saying Woolite 5:1.

Is that 6 parts Woolite to one part water??? I got a nice spray bottle today and was going to give this a try.

Actually, 5% would be a fancy way to say 20:1. ;)

My experience though is that anything less than 10:1 is not strong enough and at 6:1, it cleans even the nastiest of leather.
