Which Wax Topper for Silver?

I now have 2 coats of WG sealant on my Titanium Silver Metallic paint. I was going to try an get some EX-P for a topper for BimmerFest West on May 1st but it will take to long for it to get to me in Santa Barbara. :(

So here is my question - I have P21S, Pinnacle Signature Series and Meg's #16. Which wax do you think will add the most wetness and be the most reflective?

Any input will be greatly appreciated! :xyxthumbs

Cheers,

I'm not familiar with any of Pinnacle's products, but between S100/P21s and #16, the edge goes to #16 for wetness. You also may wish to look into some Glanz for a wet look. Very little depth, but very shiny with an extremely wet finish.

I dont have the titanium silver but the silver gray bmw paint which is pretty similar, and i always top with s100. The zaino alone left me disappointed until i put the s100. My vote is for s100

My vote is for P21s, but I haven't used Meguiar's #16. I hear Meguiar's #16 is like P21s on steroids, but in my case I'd stay what I know works for silver and that's P21s.

I have used both. Either P21S or Meg #16 will do you great service.

I give the edge to Meg #16.

AMP01. Have you check to see if there is a Poorboy's distributor in your area?

EX-P is plain sick. :xyxthumbs

For silver, something more reflective would be my vote as well. S100/P21S or Poorboy's Natty Wax would be great choices.

AMP01- Hard to say which *you* will like best. I've used P21S, #16, and Souveran, and *on MOST silvers*, I prefer the look of #16. But that's not to say *you* won't have a different opinion.

I just detailed my wife's silver Nissan Murano I used Zaino thentopped with S100. When I took it out it looked really good but I wasn't impressed enough yet because it was extrmely cloudy and overcast. Well that night we were leaving a restaurant and the HID's shining on the Murano made it look like liquid metal, it was awesome looking for a Silver vehicle. The next day it was sunny so I took it out in the light and it still looked awesome so to make a long story short S100 accept no substitute:up :)

You ain't kiddin' brother! I just love the stuff!

Andrew-I would go with #16 or Paste Glaz. I think #16 is a tad wetter looking than S100/P21S and Paste Glaz is terrific on lighter colors. Honestly though, there probably isn't 5-10% of difference appearance-wise between the three on properly prepped paint (like on your car). #16 will definitely be the most durable.

On my Satin Silver Mettalic, I've tried S100, Pin PG, Pin Sig series, Liquid Souveran, NXT, and most recently, Meg's #16.

For ease of use I'd go with the S100 or either of the Pinnacles. I think they all look very similar, espiically when topped with CK QS.

NXT went on and off fairly easily and did well when topped with Meg's QD. It also seems to be quit durable but I don't think it is in the same class as the Pinnacles or S100.

I am now experimenting with how durable #16 is (and it should do great from all I've heard). I've got two coats on - spaced 3 days apart - and topped it with Meg's QD. All I can say is that based on all of the other combinations mentioned above, this pair is the best looking to me. Excellent glow and very nice reflections. I'll have to see if I can get pics of this combo posted.

The only reservations I have on #16 is that if you put too much on or wait too long to take it off, it is a REAL BEAR. It really has to be spread on lightly. And I prefer to take it off with a terry towel followed by a final buf with a MF. Of all my other products, MF was just fine for taking them off but #16 seems to require a little more work but it is definitely worth it. :xyxthumbs

Very true. Same for Megs #26.

If you know where a problem can occur, do not let it happen. :wavey
