Which wash & wax is best?

Hey guys, right now I'm concentrating on finding the car wash formula that makes your car look THE BEST POSSIBLE after a single wash. I'm assuming a wash & wax would do this, but which one?

PS - I'm avoiding including waterless car washes in this because from what I hear it seems ONE would be a no brains winner in terms of looks.

he said he's avoiding all waterless washes, he's looking for an actual wash n' wax shampoo. Try chemical guys, i hear great things about their washes including Citrus wash n gloss, which is next on my agenda to try.

I cant really give you a "best" but these are what ive used that leave the

paint looking pretty good:

FK1 #1016 wash w/ wax

Zaino Show Car wash

IZ Perlz

In order of perfomance In my experience:

1z Perlz

Fk1 1016 (smells yummy too)

Aqua Wash

Smart Wash from Chemical Guys

Zymol (was $2/gallon at Big Lots)

Adams Car Wash

.........and for waterless washes, you already know which ONE it is.

mix an ounce of your favorite aio to your next traditional bucket. if youre a fan of suds youll be dissapointed but the look will keep you happy.

Hi..I'm on my hubby's account. Can you guys tell me the 'waterless' wash that is suppose to be so good? Is it truly waterless & can it be used on a vehicle which is pretty dirty? Finally, where can I find (purchase) 1z perlz and fx1 1012 that you guys mentioned in this thread.

Thanks so much for any help! Paula

I really like the slickness of Chemical Guys Citrus Wash & Gloss. Since using this product, my paint is always slick.

CG Citrus Wash+Gloss

Adam's wash

zaino Z7

These all leave your paint with a clean a shiny finish Dry with a quality QD and the will add some protection and a just waxed look

To everyone recommending CG's Citrus Wash+Gloss,

Have you tried their Extreme Bodywash & Synthetic Gloss Enhancer? Just wondering if you haven't tried it yet, or have tried it and still like the Citrus W+G better.

Sounds like somebody is gonna have a good fathers day.

The waterless wash is Chemical Guys ONE, yes, it can be used on a car that's pretty dirty.

I don't know about the other stuff.

fk1 wash and wax is great stuff. I used it on all my used cars that I sold and it repelled water excellent for weeks. I like how it makes the water sheet off the windshield while washing. I then topped it with Z8 and the look was excellent. The only bad part was the writing that I normally put on my cars would no longer stick and the writing would shrink into dots.

Yep, Chemical Guys ONE is supposed to be the best waterless wash you can buy right now.

1Z Perls is made by Einszett. You can find that from various different vendors. I did a quick search and found it at Excel Detail (Perls Shampoo ^premium car wash^ (16.9 oz))

Do not confuse 1Z Perls Shampoo with 1Z Glanz Shampoo. I have both, and don't care for the Glanz shampoo at all, and love Perls.

yes I have done that and even applied it directly to each panel and then dunked the mitt, added a tad of product and gone over it. I like to do that as a prep wash before I start working my magic.

Personal favourite washes

1Z Perls (low sudsing but great smell and results with good protection

CG's extreme. A little harsh on slickness but lovely suds, smell, lubrication and finish

Showcar soap (my own insane concoction with lavender and coconut conditioners and aquawax)

200 MPH car wash. It brightens the paint extremely finely as it washes and boosts the protection.

Driven to Perfection Protective Wash. Smells and looks similar to four star but way better

I wish some autopians would give this unheralded brand a go.

It is like prima mystique in that it looks one color in the bottle but when you pour it out, its another colour altogether. Works beautifully, slickness is not affected as much and boy it conditions the paint brilliantly. It has some of the driven to perfection sealant in it.

My rinsing methods.

diluted 1Z raindance lackfinish applied to the car by 5 to 10 litre pump sprayer after first rinse, sit for 2 mins and remove

apply my latest mixture called Vanishing Act, applied like raindance then rinsed off with reverse osmosis purified drinking water with a 12 litre watering can.

The result is quick detailing already done, protection boosted, slickness restored a little, some minor shine enhancement and the water dissappears so quick that by the time I get my towel out, some of each panel is bone dry. 4 blots with the WW and the hood is done.

Definitely some great products listed. I tried to find the Driven to Perfection but no luck. Can you tell us more about it SVR and perhaps a link?
