mix an ounce of your favorite aio to your next traditional bucket. if youre a fan of suds youll be dissapointed but the look will keep you happy.
yes I have done that and even applied it directly to each panel and then dunked the mitt, added a tad of product and gone over it. I like to do that as a prep wash before I start working my magic.
Personal favourite washes
1Z Perls (low sudsing but great smell and results with good protection
CG's extreme. A little harsh on slickness but lovely suds, smell, lubrication and finish
Showcar soap (my own insane concoction with lavender and coconut conditioners and aquawax)
200 MPH car wash. It brightens the paint extremely finely as it washes and boosts the protection.
Driven to Perfection Protective Wash. Smells and looks similar to four star but way better
I wish some autopians would give this unheralded brand a go.
It is like prima mystique in that it looks one color in the bottle but when you pour it out, its another colour altogether. Works beautifully, slickness is not affected as much and boy it conditions the paint brilliantly. It has some of the driven to perfection sealant in it.
My rinsing methods.
diluted 1Z raindance lackfinish applied to the car by 5 to 10 litre pump sprayer after first rinse, sit for 2 mins and remove
apply my latest mixture called Vanishing Act, applied like raindance then rinsed off with reverse osmosis purified drinking water with a 12 litre watering can.
The result is quick detailing already done, protection boosted, slickness restored a little, some minor shine enhancement and the water dissappears so quick that by the time I get my towel out, some of each panel is bone dry. 4 blots with the WW and the hood is done.
