Which UDM/PAD combo to get

First off Im not a Professional detailer, just do my cars and a few friends once in a while--I would like to know what setup would be the best bang out of these 2 please. I want to stay simple as can be and only use one type of pad ect.......

You should not notice excessive vibration with either of those pad combos. I have used the 5" LC CCS Pads on my UDM with the original backing plate with no problem and the DAS-2 pads are specifically designed for the UDM so you can't go wrong with either. I can tell you that the CCS pads from Danase in the pick 6 pack is the cheapest way to buy pads I have found and you can chose which pads you want.

I believe that the DAS-2 pads very slightly in size from 5-6" depending on the pads purpose. You could check with DavidB to be sure.

I purchased my UDM from Danase so I went with the 6 pad deal (choose colors) (use autopia member discount) plus I got some 4-in cyclo pads too. I had no "vibration" with either until speed 6. You are supposedly not going to be at speed 6 or so I am told -- 4 to 5 is the typical correcting range.

I used speed 6 for all polishing and had no problems with vibrations. Yes it vibrates, but it is not uncomfortable once you are used to it (note, I did not use the handle at all). I used speed 2-3 to apply wax and that was just a wonderful experience. So fast and effective. Love it!
