which to choose!!!!advice!!!!

My Eagle AIO had ran out and I've seen an onsale ad at Kragen for a Megs Hot Shine Tire Coating for Buy 1 and Get 1 Free. In your own experience, which product would you choose? Eagle or Megs? Base on my experience using Eagle, I really like the product. It gives a natural rubber look when it's use in tires and it cleans my wheels really well. On the other hand, I haven't use Megs Hot Shine Tire, although I've used other Megs product. Any opinions? Please help what to choose. I really want to try the Megs, since it's on sale, but Im not sure if it's as good or better than Eagle AIO. Thanks!
 
It seems like you're talking about two different things Mike. You mention EO AIO which I haven't heard of which is used to clean your tires and wheels and also dresses the rubber? Are you talking about the All Wheel & Tire Cleaner or the Tire Shine or Tire Detailer? If it is one of the latter I'd say the the Meg's Hot Shine aerosol I've used is very glossy and gives the same looks as the EO products (silicone look). Personally I'm getting away from the bling look and would recommend a water based dressing.
 
^^^ Thank you for your response. I actually meant the Eagle All Wheel and Tire Cleaner. Does Megs Hot Shine last long? As far as Im concerned, I really don't mind a glossy look but just curious on how Megs product will last long in my tires? How long that shine will remain, in average, in a tire? Is it durable?



Anyone else here have used Megs Hot shine tire????
 
Is the Megs a cleaner too, or just for dressing?



I use the Eagle One All Wheel and Tire Cleaner, but it's just to clean the tires/wheels to prep for dressing them. From your description, the Megs is just for dressing, and not a cleaning product like Eagle One.



If this is the case, why not use both?
 
You're quite welcome Mike. I used the Hotshine a few times and found it lasted at least two weeks on my wifes car which sits outside 24/7. Repelled rain well but when it came time to wash the wheels and tires I really had to clean the tires to get the old stuff off. EO All Wheel is very good but I don't know if I'd use it all the time on wheels as the older version was pretty agressive.
 
^^^ are they PIA to clean???? :) You know I thought that Eagle all wheel and tires are tire dressings. I wonder if I use the eagle as a cleaner and megs hot tires as dressing, will they have a good result? Hmm... I might try it.
 
Dude you are confusing the hell out of me.



"Eagle1 wheel and tire cleaner" does just that, its cleans rims and tires, it is not a dressing at all. Did you not notice there is nothing on your tires when you where done?



"megs hot shine" is a tire dressing. It basicly puts a shine on your tires.



2 COMPLETELY different products with 2 COMPLETELY different functions.
 
the megs hot tire shine aerosol smells awesome and shines up the tires pretty good. it last a week or two as mentioned above. it repels water, so when you go to clean it, it does take some effort to get it all. when you spray it on, you do have to be careful to wipe excess, as it will sling off.



the smell alone is worth the money. haha
