Which products are likely to contain silicone?

I just had my hood repainted last week. I've been told that silicone will ruin it at this stage. Do Speed Glaze or Scratch-X contain silicone? Thanks.

Pretty much all polishes, waxes and sealants contain silicones in some form or another. Ignore what you have heard about silicones since quality products use good ones. Just don't seal new paint until it is fully cured. Go by what the painter told you because they are the ones who have to warranty what they did, even though they did a horrendous job buffing it out.

a silicone free product would be a glaze, correct?

Again, ignore the whole 'silicone' issue. It doesn't matter if a product contains silicones or not especially since pretty much all waxes, polishes, glazes, sealants, etc contain at least some form of silicone.

Just FYI, glazes are likely to have the highest amounts of silicones since the main function of a glaze is to fill light swirls and add depth and wetness.
