Which product keeps its slickness the longest?

First off. No I am not a zealot or anything. I believe z5 is amazingly slick product for a while. I have yet to try z2 or z8 so I can say anything about those.

I have to agree, Zaino stays slick for a long time. So does Opti-Seal and the upcoming NXT v2.

Dang Scott, stop teasing us with this new NXTv2.

Us "Common Folk" have to wait until the new year.

It's just not right.

Most guys on this forum have ADD...Attention Detailing Disorder...Most of them won't allow the product to go long enough to see how long the slickness lasts

+1

I have had great results with Zaino in terms of slickness and protection longevity.

I use Gold Class car wash for the record:

Slickness defined as JUST waxed slickness:

Blackfire lasts until you wash it.

Menzerna FMJ lasts about 2-3 washes

#26 lasts 3-4 washes.

For what I paid for Blackfire I was really disappointed.

You hit the nail on the head with that comment.:xyxthumbs

Fireglaze certainly amazed me with it's slickness retention despite coin op car washes done to my daily driver each week

I think that the shampoo you use really affects the slickness durability

DG stuff

FK 1000P , exceptional and durable ( no quite as slick without a QD , but looks like you added a coat of clear to your car)

For those who have used Polycharged UPP, how long does the slickness seem to last?

Mine has held up nicely for about 2 months. Love the stuff!

Softest finish sealant I have ever used! People notice when touchin the doors and handles. I get a ton of compliments on the feel of the finish.

EDIT: I have tried the FK 1000 and it is not even close (IMO) to the Ultima or Zaino. I sent a nearly full can of it to a fellow Autopian for shipping costs I was so dissapointed in the product.

Does slickness indicate protection Level?

I think slickness is important because it helps the wash mitt/towels glide over the paint easier, so the chance to marr the finish is reduced.

I judge when an LSP is breaking down by it's beading/slickness/looks vs. freshly applied product.

I think Collinite 845 holds it's slickness nicely.

To be honest, ZAIO + a single layer of Z2 underwelmed me by it's slickness. Initially it was nice, but after 1 month and 2 washes (Duragloss 901, no QD) it doesn't seem all that slick. Not grabby though, and it still looks like I just applied it.

FK Pink Wax actually holds it's slickness/beading/looks very nicely for a wax (OK, poly/wax blend).

collinite 845 holds very nicely...for me! :soscared: i might add that i foam when washing, blow dry for the most part and touch the finish as little as possible when picking up the remaining water drops. :secret :nixweiss
