After using Poorboy's Pro,3M Imperial Hand Glaze, followed up by Poorboy's EX all by hand this past weekend,my hand was just about ready to fall off.The car came out fantastic.
I am now in the market for a random orbital buffer. Porter Cable looks like the brand I am going to get.How many models are out there? Are there any major diferences between them? Thanks for the info.John

brickyardz,
There are a few companies that advertise a DA. If you look close enough you will notice they are probably Porter Cables with the labels changed. Some companies will even state that it is something that PC made for them. I choose PC because of this. If so many companies try to sell it as a special made item for them, than it must be great straight from the originator.:D

Just me.

The Porter Cable 7424 is the one to get. It is small, light and very good. If you do a search on the internet you can get a brand new one for $120 with shipping. I just got a new one today.

I went with a DeWalt 443 D. A. it is marketed as a sander but I use it as a buffer 4,000opm to 6,800 opm a real heavy duty on off switch. besides I am DeWalt man, check at toolcrib.com for the sander. Might even be able to get one a Home Depot but they may have to order it in for you might take a week or so to get it.

I went with the PC 7336 model as it already has the 6 inch counterweight. Got it at Lowes for about $115 on sale.
