Which Pads to get with a PC7424

Below is the link.

I also attached the images. By the look of my paint which pads should I get for paint correction. I can't tell if I should get the orange or the yellow ones.

It has no oxidation, just swirls across the whole truck. Its a F-150 so its kinda big, how many pads of the yellow or orange should I get?

I was thinking about one yellow, two orange, two blue, and it comes with two free extra reds.

I was going to use either yellow or orange pads with Meg. Ultimate Compound, then the blue with WolfGangs 3.0 Glaze, then the red with Meg. NXT Wax. How does that sound?

Please give me your insight. Thanks!

have you considered the meg mf pads (kit)? do you already have the compound/polish? if not uno or the megs 300/301 with the mf pads work be pretty good. for that size truck i would want at least 4 of each expect the lsp pads (but it wouldn't hurt).

I haven't ordered anything yet.

Yea, I already have the Meg. Ultimate Compound. I also have the Meg. Ultimate Polish.

I was thinking about getting the WolfGang 3.0 Glaze..but is that basically the same as the Meg. Ultimate Polish?

So would you recommend me getting the yellow(heavy cutting pads) or orange(lighter cutting pads) for my truck.

And how does, paint correction with ultimate compound, then use Ultimate Polish with a polishing pad then using my wax with another pad sound? Any other steps? I don't want to mess tis up. Your help is much appreciated!

I'd go a with a few of each of these FLAT 5.5" LC pads. Orange, white & black. That should give you correction ability (orange) along with two different degrees of polishing pads.

I'm not familiar with the WolfGang line but a true "glaze" is not a polish. It's more or less of a filler and not designed to remove defects.

There's *NO WAY* I would want to try that with a PC (and yeah, I have two and twenty-some years of experience with 'em ;) ). If you do try it, I'd recommend 4" pads. But really...no thanks.

A Griot's Garage 6" polisher OTOH, would work swell, especially with the MF pads. Ditto for a Flex or even a Cyclo (with the right pads).

But a PC? Nah, save your money, literally, and wait until you can afford a better machine. Ford clear isn't all that tough, but I tried using a PC with 4" pads for tight spots on my Crown Vic and got so frustrated that I ended up switching pad sizes back-and-forth on the Griot's because the "extra time and hassle" of the change-overs was nothing compared to the frustration of using the PC. And to think I used to correct *Audis* via PC

This is good advice. Besides, I think going from an orange pad to a blue pad is usually too big of a jump. FWIW, the WG Finishing Glaze is supposedly relabeled Menzerna, although I've heard conflicting info as to whether it's 106fa or 85rd.
