Which pad washer

I am looking to get a pad washer, not sure which one. Lake Country or Grit Guard and are the worth the $? Now I switch pads when they are dirty and wash them after i`m done with the car. Has anyone purchased and regretted getting one?

I have the LC 3000D, the one with the stainless mushroom. It looks like they gave up on the shroud on the top with the 4000, which is good because I think it was my Flex wouldn`t fit, really. I haven`t used it in forever, because according to noorth, I`ve never polished a car, which I guess means I never used it, or something. If you don`t use/clean it often, the fluid in the reservoir will go rancid. I just couldn`t get it to fit into my workflow, but it depends what you are doing, and if you are using say, ONR, that may work out differently than Snappy Clean or APC.

1a) What type (brand and their pad name)of pads are you using?
1b) How many pads do you typically use when detailing/polishing a vehicle?
2) What name brand and their part/series name/number compound and polish do you typically use?
3) What name brand and their series name/number polishing machine do you use?
Yeah, the last two questions are typical nosy Captain Obvious questions, but I wonder if some compounds and polishes are harder to clean from pads AND if it makes a difference of what polishing machine is used to spin the pad to clean it, hence the last two questions.
Some Autopians use older, no-longer-used-on-cars-since-I updated-to-a-better-machine polishing machines they have "demoted/repurposed" just for spinning/cleaning pads.
On a related question, what pad cleaning detergent/solution works best with a pad cleaning washer? I know Lake Country`s Snappy Clean detergent has been mentioned, but I was wondering if someone used their own mix/blend of cleaning solutions or a specific name brand/manufacturer of pad cleaner like Poorboy`s World Tornado.

I have a Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer - I did not buy it, someone gave it to me. I do not use it often, but have cleaned pads when there were lots of them used. Like Lonnie, I use Poorboy`s World Tornado pad cleaner. I spray them and let them soak in a bucket for a while, then add APC to the pad washer for the cleaning. I don`t have any battery powered polishers, so I use an older PC for the cleaning, and spin to them dry.

I bought one decades ago, and it was now a few extra steps to get it ready to use, then, use it, then rinse out the pads, then set them on edge to dry...

I finally figured the extra time, $$, spent on this was, just too much extra work.. I was Detailing around 80 Clients and another 10-15 donations/year, and did not need that extra step/time, in the year, times the nbr of Details a year...

Yes, it worked great cleaning, but so did Snappy Clean, in a bucket where the 10-12 pads went, when I changed them out..
