I need to order some pads for my random orbital and I want to make sure I'm making the right choice as to which ones I'm ordering.
The two cars I'll be doing are both older BMW's, one white and one black. I'd say the paint is in decent condition on both of them, but they're not without their flaws. I'd really like the pads I order to round out a good package for a beginner to auto detailing, so I can tackle just about any job from severe oxidization to nearly new paint.
Here's where I'm ordering from: Lake Country 6.5 CCS Pads- 6 PACK
I'm thinking of getting one yellow, two oranges, two whites, and maybe a gray. This is the same setup I got years ago when I first got my buffer and it seemed to work well, but they didn't have the other color pads out at that time. The one I'm really questioning is the gray, wondering if I should go with a softer pad.
I use Optimum products, the compound, opti-polish, and poli-seal.
