Which MF's to buy?

Hello everyone, this is my first post to the forum, wish I would have found it sooner!

After reading the forum the past few days, I picked up a PC 7336SP. I'm going to order the backing plate from CMA, and also get the Big Blue Towel. I was wondering which MF's to get for removing polish and wax, they seem to have a few different ones.

Speaking of polishing...

I can get the meguiar's pad locally, are there different ones? If so, which would I use for polish and which for wax? I have MG #7, 9, & 26.

Oh yeah, the paint is black has some swirls and light scratches, but nothing too bad.

Thanks for the replies I've been doing searches for the past 3 days, and my head is spinning from all the new knowledge! Keep up the good work!

Are you talking about MF Bonnets or just MF's? If youjust want some nice MF Towels try yosteve.com, Steve frequents here and has NICE towels.

A lot of people seem to like the neatitems.com towels too, I have yet to try them....

I was just looking for MF towels for polish/wax removal. I seen that a lot of people talked about the yosteve towels, but I figured since I'm ordering from CMA might as well get everything from there. I guess I could order from somewhere else, too.

Thanks

Yosteve.com and neatitems.com both have free shipping...

Yosteve towels are supposedly better (ie more plush), but the neatitems have received great marks as well. The Yosteve towels are also more expensive. It is up to you what you want.

Use the search function and there is one big thread with someone reviewing MANY different types of MF towels and rating them.

I have the Neatitems towels and I love them. Trust me you won't be disappointed. I am going to give the Yosteve towels a try soon. You might also want to try some towels from Pakshak.com. These MF's are very plush as well and the service is great.

Hope it helps..

I've tried both the Yosteves and the neatitems, as well as meguiars' ultimate wipes, which I started with. The YoSteves ARE plusher, for sure - but I'm not sure this is a benefit. The Meguiar's wipes seem to pick up everything (water or wax residue) with fewer swipes. The plushness may well do a better job of holding dirt away once it is picked up - but I choose to be careful and visually inspect the wipe frequently. The meguiar's wipes are white, the others are blue. You can see the dirt much more easily on the white.

I think ANY of them are way better than non-MF alternatives, and they really are more similar than different. So I would factor price into the evaluation as well if it matters to you.

i'll throw a vote in for neatitems. got some a couple weeks ago and they are great. plush without any linting. plus they are super quick with shipping and have great customer service.

Ditto for Neatitems. Great service, free shipping, and an excellent product. Best I have used, although I am a relative newbie and have not tried too many. I might try Yosteve's next...

I have tried some from Pep Boys. I think they work just fine, kinda small though. They are about 3-4 bucks.
