Which is more aggressive – OPT Hyper Compound or SIP?

Ok maybe this question is silly and some may think it's a no brainer but I am uncertain.

Which product should be more aggressive at removing defects such as stubborn/deep swirl marks:

- Optimum Hyper Compound

- Menzerna SIP

It confuses me some because SIP is considered a "polish" but is suitable for hard clear coats where as OHC is a "compound" but may have issues with harder clear coats.

The main reason for this question is because I did a test panel on a black '03 G35 that had been repainted. SIP on a 5.5" Yellow LC CCS pad via Flex on speed 6 cleared up about 85% or so of the swirls BUT there were still some deep ones that existed.

Now I'm wondering if OHC would be a more aggressive approach since SIP didn't quite get there. SIP and OHC are the most aggressive products that I own since I don't usually do serious corrections.

Thanks! :woot2:

"I" have found SIP to be more aggressive that Optimum Compound in terms of which one re-levels paint faster. But my experience with Optimum Compound is limited...

OHC is not much more aggressive, and it is very pad dependant - I haven't gotten effective correction from it without using a wool pad. Not an effective swirl cutter on foam, in my experience.

My results from OHC have been less than optimal. In fact, 1 pass with 3m 3000RC did far more correction than multiple passes with OHC and various foams and wools.
