Which Brinkmann?

I have the xenon one and love it, but get the rechargable one. You'll regret it if you don't.

I have the xenon as well and like it. The rechargeable aspect is very nice IMO. If you get the LED just keep in mind you will be buying batteries for it quite often. I noted once where someone said their LED didn't last 2 cars before he had to replace the batteries. His may have just been faulty or maybe he used it a ton.

It wasn't faulty..that's just how they are. I've spent more on batteries than I paid for the light

That's good to know. The LED says it has a 5 hour run time but I'm surefire depends on batteries. It uses 6 batteries so that can get expensive really quick if I use it a lot.

I think I'll go with the Xenon its cheaper and I like that it's rechargeable.

Maybe you should use rechargeable batteries

Id thought about that, but my battery powered one has seen better days anyway. I just use it around the house now. I bought a rechargable one at the beginning of the season.

I have the led one and it does go through batteries. It also drops an led occasionally when power is low. This is my 2nd one. The first lost an led completely.

Did you think one shows defects the other?

I think they are pretty close as far as finding defects. The benefits of LED as opposed to xenon are greatly outweighed by the disadvantages with these lights imo.

John my battery powered one does the same thing. The bottom light went out the first day I had it. I called AG, and the rep said "are the batteries low?" I explained that I had only had it one day and used it on 1 car. He said to change the batteries and that didn't fix it to call back. It fixed it lol. I had thought about using lithium batteries, but I don't want Walmart taking my picture every time my light goes dead.
