Which Bottles do you use?

Got More Wax

For compound, polish, etc. Megs make a bottle - both labeled and generic - that I have been using for a while now. Problem is, the tops go to pot pretty quick. And, they come with the little red tip covers that end up lost over time. So, I'm wondering how some of you fair with your choice. I've used the "Fliptop" lids that end up clogging.

Please post your preferences.

I've just order 3 bottles from AG that looked good. Sorry I don't have any experience with them yet!

I use 12oz. cylindrical bottles with flip top caps from usplastic.com for all my polishes, with no issues at all.

They clog up easily if you leave polish in the cap obviously, but an easy fix is to just tap the bottle bottom on the table, then slowly squeeze it to let some air out, then let go quickly so air comes back in and pushes most of the polish back into the bottle and out of the cap... they should still be cleaned every few months by running something (I use a small nail) through the top and flushing all the polish residue out, but the caps stay clean easily for 3-4 months for me.

I think those are similar to the ones I posted above.

Thanks!!

i use the bottles from my NOrthern Tools along with the 32oz spray bottles. it does have a flip out spout but its big enough so that it wont get clogged.

If your going to go with USP than go with these

The bottles are thick but not so rigid you can't squeeze them. But its the tops that make the bottle. Gives you good control over the amount to use and best of all they're self cleaning, and unlike yorker tips, you won't lose the tops.

Thanks!!

What tips are those??

harbor freight has a 6pk of 8oz. flip-top bottles (around $3-$4 IIRC) that work pretty well and i've been using them with no problems for a while now...

Try visiting your local Target or maybe Walmart. Go to the toiletries section where they have a small section for travel size products. In there you'll find small squeeze bottles, etc.

I use those ketchup type bottles from the Dollar store, but they have a plastic ring with the cap so you don't loose it.

When I buy 1 litre bottles of Xpert 1000 and 1500, I just use them, dont feel the need to put into small sauce bottles etc. waste of time
