I agree with the "as possible" part. I do not agree that EX + NB = Souveran. I had ex w/carnauba + NB on my car for months (over RMG) and now have RMG + souveran on it. There is a difference, not in wetness but definitely in depth.

To answer the OP - Souveran.

I disagree, Souveran is much more reflective and deep than NB. It's just more "carnuba-y" to make a term. Its significantly better IMHO, although probably not 35 a tin better.

NB

Souvy

IMHO NB is pretty overrated, I like FK Pink on everything but black and red, and souvy on those two.

I held off and held off on SOuveran, tried almost everything else though, now just bought Souveran and NB is not close. Souve has immense depth compared to NB. Yes, Pink would be closer to Souv than NB, but the Souveran really is in a league of its own for depth. MAx Wax is great middle of the road price range wax to consider as well. There's only a few nubas on my wanna try list left!

Ill quote myself to make sure no one gets confused.

There is no substiture for what souveran can do, but there is cheaper was to almost get the look.

Ya, I agree there. I think NB does get a lot of hype but it really is a great wax for $20. So is Pink Wax, so is clearkote carnauba... they all have their own specific look about them. Souveran on the other hand just takes it to that next level. Is it worth $30-$40 more? It is to me, but I can understand going with NB/CC/PW etc...

That's a good way to out it Picus!

NB was my favorite for awhile btw, stopped using it so much when I started really notice variosu aspects, like it stops a lot of pop on pearl finsihes.

Both. NXT topped with Souveran is a great combination on black.

Agreed. I've done it on my own black 626.

...although the combination of Carnauba Moose, Carnauba Jett and Natty's Blue is pretty deep:

Meguiars #16 x 2 also looks pretty deep:

Souveran as the last layer-but with a digital camera:

The point is, most carnaubas will give acceptable depth on black. Whether or not Souveran is worth the extra depends on how it looks to your eye.

Liquid Soveran is tailored to lights, paste souvy to darks. I haven't tried them side to side but I'm VERY inclined to believe that liquid souveran wouldn't hold a candle to the paste on black or red.

The Liquid I don't care for at all, but we have mostly dark cars. It looks very "neutral" if that makes sense, on a black pearl flake. I like simple Butter Wax better than liquid Souv. But some people swear by it, so obviously I'm missing something.

I fI would have just bougth Souv to begin with like I wanted I would have saved so much$ goign through lots of others. I don't even really care to try Zymol anymore, but Victoria I think will be a winner as well.
